Portland On The Cheap:  Seniors

Senior Discounts
Senior discounts in Portland?  Of course!  Whenever going out to a store, restaurant or service provider, ASK.  The discount might fall once a week or once a month, but it helps to ask!  It could be a freebie, discount, special menu or a special event that is offered.  Here are three web sites that can give you a good start:

About.com:  Frugal Living Senior Discount Directory
SeasonedSpender.com:  Just search by city and state for a list of discounts
SeniorDiscount.com:  they claim that over 150,000 businesses are listed that offer a senior discount.  The catch is that you have to register and pay a yearly fee of $7.95 or $12.95.  It might be worth a look.
