Every
last Thursday of the month, check out NE Alberta Street when galleries,
studios, restaurants and other art venues open their doors for a
celebratory evening of art. Generally the galleries are open between 5

Beaverton Last Tuesday
(summer only)

During the summer,
Beaverton's Last Tuesday brings together live music and local art to
the Plaza at the Round (Beaverton Central MAX stop). Usually
starts at 5:00pm with the evening concert getting things started.
Beaverton Last Tuesday is presented by the Beaverton Arts Commission and
sponsored by the City of Beaverton.

Grove is the scene every first Wednesday of the month with special
events and activities along with wine tastings at participating
businesses. 5:00pm - 8:00pm. This is not an art reception
per se, but you will find discounts and special buys at the merchants
as well as wine tasting.

Downtown
Hillsboro offers a monthly self-guided art walk the first
Tuesday of every month. Participating businesses sponsor
different
artists in cooperation
with the Glenn and Viola Walters Cultural Arts Center and the Sequoia
Gallery and Studios. Look for the balloons along the sidewalk
edge as
that will mark an artist location. First Tuesday hours are
between
6:00pm-8:00pm. |
Lower Fremont
Second Friday Art Walk & Sidewalk Sale

Fremont at 13th & 14th Avenues. Dine, drink and enjoy
fashion, jewelry, art and crafts from over 40 local artists.
Festivities occur from 5:00pm - 9:00pm every second Friday of the month.

Art and Wine Walk

Every third Saturday is
McMinnville's Art and Wine Walk, as businesses feature works by local
artists and wineries from Willamette Valley pour samples of their
wines. Hours are generally from 11:00am - 8:00pm, though start
times will vary depending on merchant.

month as they have
their own art walk in their historic downtown. Hours are from

Thursday |
On the
first Thursday evening of every month many
Portland galleries extend their hours to host receptions for that
month's new exhibitions. Often the featured artist is at the gallery
during the opening. Times and dates are usually in the neighborhood of
5:30pm - 9:00pm, but please check the web site for specific
hours. In addition to the galleries belonging to the Portland Art
Dealers Association, the Downtown Art Gallery
Association also promotes other galleries hosting receptions
during First Thursday, so be sure to check out both web sites or
just walk around the downtown area and make your own discoveries. |
Sherwood
Second Saturday Art Walk (check back)

Old
Town Sherwood had their own Art Walk in early summer 2008 and ran for a
few months, but as of October 2008 we have not heard any additional
word about it. We'll keep you updated if the City of Sherwood
decides to give it another try.
